Turn your mattress frequently. Flip it end to end and/or side to side every two weeks or so depending on the amount of use (this excludes one sided mattresses). It is normal for the materials within a futon to level and condense over time. They are manufactured to conform to pressure, and this is not a structural defect. To fluff your futon, shake it against the floor or other hard surface. You may find that beating it with a big stick may help in this process.
Futons are manufactured to be placed on a futon frame which allows air to circulate through the futon. Storing futons on the floor or in enclosed spaces may cause mildew due to moisture. Always store your futon in a well ventilated area.
NEVER ALLOW YOUR FUTON TO GET WET. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT A COVER ALWAYS BE USED.
